We’ve announced today that James Phipps has joined the TrustSTFC board, which is great news as he brings a wealth of experience and has many contacts around the local business community. You can read all about the appointment in the Swindon Advertiser today, or by clicking here

Also, as promised, I’ve put together a brief recap of our communications since early September. Hopefully this will help bring you back up to speed on what TrustSTFC are doing in and around the community.

This article focuses on our involvement with local Swindon Charity SMASH, where we used the Red Army Fund to give a Mentor and Youngster their first taste of Swindon Town FC. We also asked for more volunteers for SMASH, and off the back of this article they had four people come forward to offer their help.

We welcomed Martin Ling into his new role and encouraged supporters to give him a warm welcome. We also talk about the cake we presented to Don Rogers for his 70th Birthday, and the response to the video that accompanied it.

We promote the fact that our first International subscribers to the Red Army Fund were now on board, and appeal for help with the “Build The Bank” campaign. We still need help from a local company, so if you know of one – please get in touch!

An appeal for fans to get behind the team. We still need to build the atmosphere, as it’s sadly lacking, and have plans to support fan engagement in the near future via the Red Army Fund.

We talk about our meetings with local companies and with Justin Tomlinson MP, regarding disabled facilities and other stadium improvements, and also appeal for help with our PR (now achieved via Sam).
