Build The Bank
The ‘Build the Bank’ project is dedicated to the regeneration of the Stratton Bank Stand facilities.
The first step would be to build new toilets on the Cricket Club (Arkells) side of the ground. Drainage is already in place, and with permanent toilet facilities established, it would enable the Stratton Bank to be used without the need to bring in temporary (and costly) toilet facilities.
As can be seen in the image gallery below, the Shrivenham Road side of the ground, adjacent to the Don Rogers stand, is in a state of abandonment, having been left untouched for over twenty years since the end of the 1993/94 Premier League season. We call it “The land that time forgot” !
In order to get the Stratton Bank fully up and running, we need to take action to bring this area back to life. We are seeking local volunteers, particularly tradesmen, to help us clear and regenerate this area.
The regeneration would include a new toilet and catering kiosk facilities, as well as rejuvenating the existing turnstiles.
Please contact us if you would like to help.

Turnstiles, Gate and Kiosk
This area needs extensive work. The area to the left will be regenerated to house a new catering outlet, the general area needs clearing, and the turnstiles directly ahead would need to be refitted with new technology matching the other entrances in the ground. -
Overgrown area
This part of the ground has remained untouched for around 20 years and needs the community to pull together and clear it. -
Power Unit
There is a power unit within this area that would remain in place, however the surrounding area needs to be cleared. -
Toilet Block
The toilet block needs to be totally overhauled to enable visitors through this side of the ground. -

Walls
The surrounding walls would become the "Wall of Memories" within the ground, and these will require labour to get them up to standard. -
The link to the Stratton Bank
The entrance area links onto Stratton Bank, however the initial part of the seating area is currently being used as a storage area. -
Enclosure
The derelict area is currently fenced off by white panels and a gate. -

Exit Gates
These gates are in good shape, required for Health & Safety reasons. The doors on the right lead into the current Junior Reds facility.
